Helping to get fans revved up before the big event, Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte gave a pre-race performance at this weekend's (March 27) Auto Club 400 in Fontana, California.

The musical brothers hit the stage at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race in their usual pop-rock garb which included sunglasses, necklaces and even a "Good Charlotte: Winning" t-shirt.


In related news, the group has just been added to the Festival for Humanity lineup for this year's Memorial Day weekend.

The band will headline the Vernon, New Jersey event on May 28th and will be in good company - as Third Eye Blind, The Misfits, and Soul Asylum are among the other slated acts.

So much for trying to fool us on twitter: if Radar Online’s sources are accurate, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden will get married this weekend. Delivery trucks continue to come to Lionel Richie’s home, suggesting the wedding will be held there.

So what will the wedding be like?

“Nicole is going for a vintage and romantic vibe,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “The wedding will be true to Nicole’s style,” the source added.

Apparently, in order to get the right “feel,” Nicole had to cut back on the guest list.

“Nicole cut down the guest list because she didn’t want a huge wedding. She didn’t invite a bunch of her celeb friends,” the source revealed. “This has apparently upset a bunch of people.”

So I’m guessing that means no Paris Hilton?

Well, I’m sure it will be beautiful. And a wedding really is about the bride and groom, so while it may hurt some people’s feelings not to get an invite, hopefully they’ll understand.

But… I’ll believe it when there’s an official announcement or something- LOL.

Both USA Today and Access Hollywood are speculating that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden (who are rumored to be tying the knot on Christmas after Nicole’s grueling workout regimen) are actually getting married this weekend and trying to fool people with twitter.
On Friday, Joel tweeted:

This flight to Seattle has taken almost 7 hours. We are almost there. Thank you gogoinflight for the wireless.

(Indicating he wasn’t in LA for an impending wedding.)
Meanwhile Nicole tweeted:

Aaahhhhh FINALLY a proper winter. And I had to go all the way to New York to get it.

Yet, as Access Hollywood points out, she’s evaded all photographers.
But Joel apparently returned to LA yesterday, alone with the kids, based on this tweet:

Home alone w/ my kids,Not so bad. Is there an on/off switch 4 these little things or do they just keep going? Nicole pls tweet instructions

Despite all this twitter activity, a delivery truck reportedly was spotted outside Nicole’s father’s house yesterday afternoon, causing all this speculation that Nicole and Joel’s wedding is about to occur there.
