Getting an early start on the celebrations, Kate Gosselin enjoyed a pre-birthday outing in New York City on Friday night (March 18).

The TLC reality star mom was all smiles while clad in a little black dress as she was escorted to STK for a fun-filled birthday dinner, despite the fact that she actually turns 36-years-old on March 28th.

The Big Apple dinner excursion comes as Miss Gosselin is readying for the family's return to TV next month.

Following a recent hiatus, Kate and the brood can be seen on TLC beginning on Monday, April 4.

During the season premiere, viewers will see the famous mommy and her eight children in Australia, the kids' farthest trip from home yet.

Oh boy!! Single men everywhere better watch out because Kate Gosselin is looking for love.  Rob Shuter of PopEater told ABC News that a close friend disclosed Kate’s romantic plans.

“She thinks she is a fantastic catch. Not only does she think she has never looked better, Kate also now has a ton of money. As far as she’s concerned, there is nothing not to like. She’s beautiful, rich and thinks of herself as very easy to get along with.”

Very easy to get along with? Has she seen the first few seasons of ‘Jon and Kate Plus 8′? LOL! Actually, after the divorce there has been a noticeable different in Kate. The split most certainly softened her. Hopefully, the mom of 8 will be able to find love again.

In the past, Kate has said that she is looking for a “tough guy“. Wonder if she’s still sticking to that plan?

The story about  and Collin Gosselin being expelled from their private school just will NOT go away! First word came out that they were expelled. Then Kate Gosselin said they had not been expelled but had been voluntarily removed so they could receive counseling while being tutored.

Now “someone” claims Kate lied and the kids were expelled after becoming too aggressive. They reportedly injured an adult twice and were physically abusive towards their classmates.

“Both Jon and Kate were sent a letter from the head of school explaining that despite their best efforts, staff had reached a point at which they had to request the children enroll in another program,” a source close to the school told RadarOnline.com

“It’s clear Kate did not tell the truth.

“Both Alexis and Colin received three full weeks of intensive special treatment to focus their behavior,” revealed the source. ”While the teacher was able to achieve some success, it became apparent to the school that the pair needed intensive assistance to help them with their social, emotional and academic needs.

“The demand on the children’s classroom teachers — and the impact on other kids — was just too great.”

This source also claims that Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend have been taking Collin and Alexis to public playgrounds so they can meet other kids. Apparently public school isn’t an option because the paparazzi would have too much access to the kids.

Could this “source” be someone close to Jon? Regardless, this whole situation seems so sad. Obviously these kids are struggling. Hopefully they’re getting help. (imnotobsessed)

Kate Gosselin Wants To Try Her Hand At Acting

imnotobsessed - Performing in the opening Emmy skit with Jimmy Fallon and the gang has left an impression on Kate Gosselin. The reality mom admits that she'd like to give acting an honest try:

"Doing that little part in the skit was so amazing for me, being around so many wonderful actors," "I so want to give it a try! I think it is so fun to be somebody else, to get out of me and be somebody else."
 

"It was Jimmy Fallon's personal invitation to have me in it," she said. "I love him. I so love him. It was a lot of fun, the most fun thing I have done in so long."

I thought Kate was fantastic for making fun of her 'Dancing with the Stars' stint like that.
