Ryan Reynolds split from his wife Scarlett Johansson in December, and now he's reportedly scoping out properties in the Tribeca and SoHo districts of New York. Scarlett, on the other hand, is set to keep the couple's former $2.1 million New York marital home as part of the settlement.

According to the New York Daily News, Johansson will also be keeping the pair's $350,000 property in Lafayette, Louisiana.

While Ryan is expected to keep the $2.9 million two-bedroom Los Angeles home the couple shared, he reportedly could be required to hand over a further $1.5 million to Scarlett as part of the divorce settlement.

After marrying in September 2008 -- just four months after getting engaged -- the pair announced the end of their two-year marriage in early December, with 34-year-old Ryan lodging his divorce petition in the Los Angeles Superior Court on December 23.

Speaking in a statement, the couple said of the split: "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it."

While there was no pre-nuptial agreement in place, Ryan is believed to made more money than his wife during the course of their union.

There are also logistical matters better resolved in person: "They have divorce details to work out, they'd rather do it face-to-face than in some office."

Ryan has been linked to Sandra Bullock, falsely, while a rep for ScarJo denied that she's dating Jason Sudeikis. She was also seen with Justin Long.

The rumors are continuing: Radar Online now reports that Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds have been spending more time together besides partying on New Year’s Eve. They’ve reportedly been making “top secret getaways” to Sandra’s home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

They’ve denied they’re dating, but a source with knowledge of the situation tells us exclusively that the two “are very much dating, and trying to keep a low profile.”

I’m not trying to suggest anything happened while they were filming ‘The Proposal,’ but they did seem to be genuine friends on the red carpet, didn’t they?

Pop Eater reports that not only are Sandra and Ryan dating, but Ryan’s ex, Scarlett Johansson, is none too happy about it.

“Scarlett is a deeply private person, who during her entire marriage was only ever seen and photographed with her husband a handful of times,” a friend of the actress tells me.

“Now, less than a month after they split that fool has gone and got himself photographed with [with Bullock] on New Year’s Eve of all days. Of course she is devastated.

“Even if they are not a couple yet, this is very awkward for Scarlett. She too thinks of Sandy as a friend and hates the thought that Sandy is on team Ryan after the breakup, that is if she isn’t already his girlfriend,” an insider tells me.

I don’t know if all this is true, but it’s always tough to see an ex move on. And guys do seems to go for the whole “rebound relationship” thing more than women, don’t you think?

Just a few weeks after their separation was announced, Reynolds has begun the process of officially ending his two-year marriage to Johansson.

Already separated from Johansson, Reynolds filed for divorce Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Scarlett filed her response simultaneously.

Their official statement seemed to be filled with love and kindness. My guess is these two will remain good friends in the end. Either way, this is going to a rough few months for both of them.

"People have been saying that they are on the rocks because they haven't been spotted together recently, but that's only because they are both busy working," the New York Daily News quoted the source as saying.


"She's been doing up to eight shows a week on Broadway, and he's been shooting the 'Green Lantern' in New Orleans. It's been tough, but they're making it through just fine," the source added.

Explaining the pair’s alleged plans to shift to the Big Apple, the source said: "Scarlett is extremely close to her sister, Vanessa, who lives in Chelsea, and she wants to live full-time in the city.”

"It's a good situation to be in, seeing her naked - believe me, Sandra's no slob, that's for sure,"

The 32-year-old initially worried that Sandra, 44, would back out of the scene because of nerves.

"I didn't think we'd shoot it to be honest because she's never done a head-to-toe nude scene before.

"I just thought, 'Oh she's just going along with it and once we actually get closer to it, she'll say we need to rewrite this.' No way. She was 100 percent in," he said.

'She'd just had her wisdom teeth removed, so she had one dipped in gold and strung on a necklace for him,' a source tells E!.

Generous Scarlett is also said to have paid for hunky Ryan to have a full body massage, but her spokesman has not confirmed the gossip.

'Scarlett was out of town for Ryan's birthday but she gave him a gift this weekend in private,' says the actress's rep. 'There was no one else there.'
