Angelina Jolie to Adopt Seventh Child? New Tattoo Prompts Speculation

Is Angelina Jolie ready to adopt once again?

During her U.N. goodwill trip to the Tunisia-Libya border this week, the actress was photographed showing a tattoo of a new set of map coordinates on her arm.

The coordinates, as you probably know, mark the birthplaces of her six children - the first three adopted, the next three biological with partner Brad Pitt.

So is #7 on the way?

It's unclear, although the numbers are there. The coordinates are hard to read, but the North African region Jolie is visiting would be an appropriate choice.

A source close to Jolie warns not to read too much into her skin art, but you have to wonder. It does fit the pattern of the other SIX TATTOOS right there.

Those coordinates mark the births of:

•     Maddox, 9, from Cambodia
•     Pax, 7, from Vietnam
•     Zahara, 6, from Ethiopia
•     Shiloh, 4, born in Namibia
•     Vivienne and Knox, 2 born in France

I know, I know, it’s another Angelina Jolie/Brad Pitt adoption story. But this one caught my eye because of the reasoning.

So Angelina has a tattoo on her upper arm with the coordinates of each one of her six child’s birth places. During her visit to the Tunisia-Libya border this week, reporters spotted a seventh line of coordinates on the tattoo. Could this mean Brad and Angelina are preparing to adopt another child?


A “source” told People not to read too much into it: there are NO adoption plans. But what do you think?
My brain is exploding at the thought of a SEVENTH child, but hey, look at the Duggars (‘19 Kids and Counting‘).

This is a very amusing story in this week’s National Enquirer, who try to make a mini scandal out of what should be just a laughable anecdote. Supposedly Angelina Jolie is addicted to the number one game on iTunes like so many of us, Angry Birds. She’s been playing it nonstop during breaks on the set of Kung Fu Panda 2, and the crew is scared to play her because she’ll make them play until she beats them. She also is said to get so into the game that she’ll “scream and yell and make screechy bird sounds.” I hope she taunts her opponents with those smug “heh heh heh” grunts that the pigs make when you miss them. Those are my favorite even though you’re trying to blast those suckers.

    Angelina Jolie is so obsessed with the video game “Angry Birds” that the cast and crew of “Kung Fu Panda 2″ were terrified she’d peck them to death!

    The 35 year-old star played the addictive game nonstop during breaks from doing voice work on the animated film, sources say, and her competitive drive wreaked havoc on the set.

    “Angelina’s completely consumed with ‘Angry Birds.’ If she had even 10 minutes of downtime, she’d challenge anyone to a quick game,” a set insider told The Enquirer.

    “She’d get so into it that she’d scream and yell and make screechy bird sounds. The crew was scared to beat her because if they did, she’d demand a rematch.”

    The “Angry Birds” vidieo game, in which players use a slingshot to launch birds at evil pigs - has taken Hollywood by storm…

    On Angelina’s movie set, actor Jack Black… was the only person willing to challenge [her], said the source.

    “The last thing anyone wanted to do was tick off the biggest movie star in the world, but Jack just ate up all the tension,” said the source. “He’d beat Angelina three out of four times and then razz everyone else because they wouldn’t play with her.”

The people at the Enquirer need to actually play Angry Birds before they write pieces like this. There’s nothing shameful about wanting to smash those pigs. It’s a great game and I know plenty of other people that love to play like we do at my house. My kid even convinced me to buy him a plush toy of that puffy red bird, and it’s his favorite stuffed animal. It’s a great game and I bet Angie’s kids get into it too, with Maddox the reigning champion. You know that Maddox mops the floor with everyone else. 

On another note - they’re still working on Kung Fu Panda 2? I thought that was coming out this summer. (Moms pay attention to these things.) I just checked and it has a release date of May 26 this year. No wonder they don’t want Angelina to get distracted during work time. They need to finish that movie already.

To the delight of the franchise's fans, it has been confirmed that Lara Croft will be back - but this time without Angelina Jolie.

Uninterested in resuming the pre-Brad Pitt role, Jolie, now 35, played the daredevil archaeologist twice back in 2001 and 2003.

The next "Tomb Raider" film, slated for 2013, will be a "reboot" featuring a "young and dynamic Lara Croft," according to a release posted on Deadline.

As for not caring to embrace her past character once more, Angelina told,"I felt like that's kind of how I wanted to do it, and I don't really feel the need to do another one."

Brad Pitt is reportedly building an apartment on the grounds of his Chateau Miraval estate in France to accommodate his parents Bill and Jane Pitt, who plan to help raise the couple’s large brood.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “The whole family is going to move there as soon as the renovations are done. At the moment they have six nannies -- one for each of the kids -- and the plan is to get rid of the helpers and rely on Bill and Jane.

"The annex they will live in is an old building which used to be used as a dovecote.

"It's big enough to have a sitting room, kitchen and a couple of bedrooms. It will make a lovely little cottage for them."

Brad, 47, and Angelina, 35, are said to have asked Bill and Jane to move in with them in order to give their children a more stable home life, instead of traveling the world for months at a time to keep up with the couple’s movie-making commitments.

The source added: “They don't want them dragged around the world any longer.

"Brad is traditional and wants them to put down roots and have friends and go to the same school, rather than constantly moving.

“They'll pretty much retire from Hollywood for a while.”

It is believed that Angelina’s Tourist co-star Johnny Depp -- who also lives in France with partner Vanessa Paradis and children Lily-Rose, 11, and eight-year-old Jack -- encouraged the couple to make their permanent base in Europe.

A source said recently: “Johnny said if they want a normal life they must leave Los Angeles. They all agree the time has come for them to focus on bringing up their family.

"They have plenty of money and they want to relax and enjoy it."

There's a line between fun gossip and flat-out slander, however, don't you agree? To that end, Star may have just outdone itself/hit a new low.

How is that even possible? A new cover story on Angelina Jolie and her twins, Vivienne and Knox, alleging they have a serious mental disability:

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TWINS is not contained here at all.

Basically, the magazine makes up utter nonsense about Angelina Jolie's twins, which is to be expected. To a point. "Down Syndrome Drama" is not a laughing matter.


Few things are more depressing and sad for families than Down Syndrome, a very serious and debilitating condition. Making light of it to boost sales?

That's just low, even for you, Star.

Hopefully next week, the tabloid will return to its less-offensive roots with some ridiculousness about Jennifer Aniston carrying Brad Pitt's alien love child.

Well, regardless of how you feel about Angelina Jolie, she is the mother of six kids. She says mothers need to “cherish” every minute they have with their children. Who would argue with that?

“Just enjoy every minute of it because it goes so fast and it is the best time in your life. And strap them to you and hang out with them and sleep in the same bed with them and just love every second of it.”

It does go by so fast, doesn’t it? Angelina said part of the reason she agreed to star in ‘The Tourist’ with Johnny Depp was because of the opportunity it would give her kids.

“You just have to focus on the positive side. I got to spend two months in Venice filming which no one gets to do, with a co-star who’s so lovely, so it’s all hard to say no to.
“We make a point to stay together as a family when we’re filming, in this town you’ve got to. We take turns working so everybody packed up and went to Venice.
“I think some people are affected by fame, I’m lucky that I have a lot of kids who keep me very, very grounded.”

Angelina and Brad Pitt do seem to make the most of the opportunities that come their way as actors for their kids, don’t they?

LUCKY 7: Hey, at least they didn't say she's pregnant. Claiming Brangelina "set a date" to bring home their next child leaves things much more open-ended.

British film critic David Thomson basically went NUTS on Hollywood this morning. The ­Editor of The Biographical Dictionary Of Film ripped apart almost every A-lister I can think of during an interview with The Daily Mail. Here is just a sample of what he had to say about today’s top celebs:

• HUGH JACKMAN: He is hot (I suppose). Now, he just needs to be interesting.
• KEIRA KNIGHTLEY: She is ­astonishingly beautiful. But Keira is about as interesting as a creme brulée where too much refrigeration has killed flavor with ice burn. She is still more credible as a faintly animated photographer’s model than as an actress.
• BEN AFFLECK: On one hand I have always had a soft spot for Affleck. But my other view is that he is boring, ­complacent and criminally lucky to have got away with everything so far.
• BRAD PITT: Hardly anything he touches now is less than ‘precious’ and ‘awesome’ — it can’t be long before he begins to look very tired.
• HILARY SWANK: In nearly everything she has done, she has been pretty, dull, ordinary and incapable of lifting the film clear of a sanctimonious mud.
• JENNIFER ANISTON: She’s in her 40s now and her £5 ­million-a-movie career ­cannot go on for much longer. But rather in the manner of Doris Day, while one can make gentle fun of Jennifer Aniston, it’s hard to dislike her.
• DREW BARRYMORE: I can’t help finding it shocking, as well as startling, that Drew Barrymore was born so recently (in 1975), and yet seems to have been here, and a problem, for so long.
• GEORGE CLOONEY: It’s clear, as he approaches 50, that George Clooney is the most liked actor in U.S. ­pictures. And it is also clear that he knows it.
• MATT DAMON: What’s most interesting about Damon is the very lack of good looks — and the feeling of a squashed and rebuilt face.

Angelina Jolie has been keeping it classy on the red carpet. She’s never really one to rock a ton of color, but I would love to see her in something bright or floral. Unfortunately, I doubt that’s in her game plan. Black, white and beige seem to be her safe zone.

Is Brangelina trying to give the Duggar’s a run for their money? Angelina Jolie was on Larry King Live this week and told Larry that she and Brad haven’t ruled out more kids!

The Tourist star said that while they have “no plans at the moment,” to add any more kids to their already large brood, she and Brad haven’t decided against it.

“But we’re always open [to the idea],”

She also said that when she and Brad are out with the kids they try to hide from the paps, and make it as normal for the kids as possible;

“Well, we try not to get them into the middle of it,” she explained. “We try to get them around things and under things.” “We just have to kind of smile and say, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not scary. They just like to take pictures…As a parent, the only thing you can do is try to make sure that they don’t feel it’s a threat, you don’t act like it’s a threat, and you just keep smiling so they don’t feel anything negative.”

I think that’s a good way to look at it. And the kids don’t look too bothered by the cameras either. It also seems that we’ve been seeing a lot of the kids lately, and coincidentally Angelina has a movie to promote!

Angelina Jolie is giving interviews left and right during promotion for “The Tourist“, and is opening up about everything from her kids’ wardrobe choices to plastic surgery. She shares that she hasn’t had any work done and isn’t planning on it, either.

“I haven’t had anything done and I don’t think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that’s up to them. I’m not in somebody else’s skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don’t plan to do it myself.

Angelina is pretty content in her life with Brad and the kids:

“I enjoy the work more now because I enjoy life more,” she says. “When you have children the whole world shifts for you. You have these little people that make you laugh and remind you every day of what is important, and you get to be their parent and that’s the most important thing you’ll ever be. Everything else comes from that.”

The actress dishes on the uniqueness of having a date night in Venice (where she filmed The Tourist):

“One night Brad and I went out to dinner and I wanted to get dressed up and wear my heels. By the time we’d finished dinner we had to borrow welly boots because the water had risen so high that you couldn’t walk down the street,” she explained. “But that’s the magic of Venice.”

Apparently Angelina Jolie is about to add the title of Jewellery Designer to her resume. Because she’s not busy enough being a mother of 6, actress, director and humanitarian (and home wrecker if you listen to Chelsea Handler) she’s decided to add her own jewellery collection to the list!

Us Magazine is reporting that Angelina is teaming up with former Asprey CEO Robert Procop to release her own line of jewellery. Procop told WWD;

“Angelina has very classic style,”
“These are pieces she wears herself.”

Unfortunately those pieces won’t be available to you and me. Nope, Procop will sell the pieces exclusively to his network of clients, with all proceeds going directly to Jolie’s charity, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. I think that’s wonderful that the proceeds will go to charity, but do you think that exclusive clients will be more apt to buy pieces designed by a celebrity, or would it be better if it was made available to the public?  Would you wear jewellery designed by Angelina Jolie if you had the chance?

I have to agree with Angelina Jolie on this one. Honestly, one of the most talked about things online is why Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has short hair! It really is something that a lot people think a lot about, and Angelina addressed it when she spoke with YOU Magazine.

“I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called John for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie.”

Shiloh is so young – I can’t believe that people think she should look any way at all! I think it’s great that Angelina and Brad are willing to let their children express themselves. She also went on to say that encouraging all of her children’s originality is important to her.

“Hopefully I’m giving my children the sense that they are deeply loved and deeply safe. At the same time we are hopefully encouraging their individuality as they get to know who they are, and not getting in the way of that. That’s why they are six very strong individuals.”

Angelina Jolie Doesn’t Get The Controversy Over Shiloh’s Style

I have to agree with Angelina Jolie on this one. Honestly, one of the most talked about things online is why Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has short hair! It really is something that a lot people think a lot about, and Angelina addressed it when she spoke with YOU Magazine.

“I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called John for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie.”

Shiloh is so young – I can’t believe that people think she should look any way at all! I think it’s great that Angelina and Brad are willing to let their children express themselves. She also went on to say that encouraging all of her children’s originality is important to her.

“Hopefully I’m giving my children the sense that they are deeply loved and deeply safe. At the same time we are hopefully encouraging their individuality as they get to know who they are, and not getting in the way of that. That’s why they are six very strong individuals.”
